ANTIBACTERIAL FABRICS WITH VIRUS INHIBITION EFFECT.
Decoration fabrics and ready made products with biocidal treatment that suppresses viruses. This kind of fabrics reduces the number of virus particles that contact the textile surface.
Available antibacterial products: fabrics per meter, curtains, blinds, upholstery fabrics, curtain fabrics, bedding fabrics (bedspreads and throws).
In response to the alert created by Covid-19, KA International launches a collection of technical fabrics with antibacterial and antimicrobial properties and inhibitory effects on encapsulated viruses, also known as coronaviruses, in order to reduce their spreadability.
These fabrics with our virus inhibition effect treatment are able to reduce the number of virus particles that are contact with the textile surface.
Focusing on the of the coronavirus structure, we have developed a double finishing process.
The first one, based on the biocidal product ADRATEX RH, prevents the growth of microorganisms on the fabric, protecting it from bacteria and fungi.
The second one, with ADRATEX EX OCW, is focused on improving its effectiveness against the virus and it targets the viral envelope.
The results have been tested according to the following standards:
'ISO 20743:2013-pto 8.1' for fabrics with antibacterial properties (see test report).
In order to measure its effectiveness on the virus, these fabric tests have been done before and after being treated. After multiple machine washes and according to the Norm ‘ISO 18184: 2019 Determination of antiviral activity of textile products’, a reduction of the virus (feline coronavirus) of more than 95% was obtained within two hours. The results must be extrapolated to our fabrics, we will soon have our own tests.
These products maintain their properties after multiple washes.
This collection of Antibacterial Virus Inhibition Effect by KA International fabrics is suitable both for interior decoration projects in public places and for private residences.
Since the collection includes all kinds of textiles and it incorporates color and design to its most technical aspect, it is also very decorative. So these fabrics initially developed for a technical use are not only used in hospitals, hotels and public places but also in the decoration of private homes.
